Prospect Park’s Goblin Clan would like to offer their sincere appreciation to the local families that donated rain slickers and boots when this week’s flooding forced the Goblin Folk out of their underground homes.

Recent heavy rains had made the goblins’ cavern systems unlivable, from the ‘Crypts of Darkness’ cave system under the southwest corner of the park to the ‘Dripping Horrors’ neighborhood under the lake. But through the generosity of Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, and Lefferts Gardens families, as organized through the Prospect Park Alliance, the goblins’ time aboveground has been warm and dry.

Banklegrink Filtzgroff, spokesperson for the Prospect Park Organization of Goblins United in Harmony for Common Purpose Like Goblins Should Be (PPOoGUiHfCPLGSB), says that once the water recedes from their caverns, all coats will be donated to New York Cares Coat Drive. The boots they would like to keep.

“Boots!” said Filtzgroff.
